Ali Wins Race #1 !!!!
Alison kicked off the 2010 season with a surprising win in Race #1 of the Colorado Junior Karting Club series. The race was Ali's first race in the Junior 1 class and expectations were not high as we wanted Alison to get comfortable to the new kart and much more powerful engine.
Alison had different ideas. Qualifiying 5th, Alison quickly moved up in the heat race and took the lead on the 5th lap and led the rest of the way. In the Main Event, Alison started from the Pole Position and took the lead after 4 laps. Opening up a lead of almost 10 seconds, Alison cruised to the win.
We joke that the karting world is littered with dejected souls who underestimated Alison. You can add 14 more souls to this list and you can bet they will not underestimate her again. Gentlemen, start your excuses! This girl is here to race and you better bring your A game.
